Network with other outsider artists and collectors

I'm confused :>/

Last night I was able add friends through a link under their names, etc. Today that link is not there at all. How can I add friends if the link is missing? I don't mean invite friends TO the site, I mean to my friends' list. Anyone???

Ok, when I click on a person's photo, then I see their page.
Under their photo, I see the add friend link.
Now, if...if have already requested the add, and they have not yet added me, then I no longer see the link.
